WHERE CAN I watch a sacred ceremony demonstration?
You are welcome to watch the following videos about Ke Ala Hoku and observe Sacred Ceremonies performed by one and two practitioners on the video page here.
WHAT Will I EXPERIENCE DURING MY SACRED CEREMONY?
Everyone's experience is different every single time. Each Sacred Ceremony performed is completely unique.
You are encouraged to experience your Sacred Ceremony free of any expectations. Oftentimes if we are focused on seeking something specific, we may miss whatever is waiting for us. The best way to receive a Sacred Ceremony is to completely relax, allow your mind to "go blank," release control, let go of expectations, and allow whatever may happen to unfold.

I'VE HAD A LOMI LOMI MASSAGE BEFORE. IS THIS Similar?
A Sacred Ceremony is not a regular massage. It is not therapeutic lomi lomi. Designed to wake up your cellular consciousness, Sacred Sessions involve extremely ancient work. Pre-Polynesian, rite-of-passage Sacred Ceremonies address your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and ancestral bodies. The lineage of this work is passed on from teacher to student and fewer than three hundred practitioners worldwide are trained in and practice the lineage of this work in its true and original form.
what should i think about during MY sacred ceremony?
This work is not for your mind. The more you can relax, allow, and simply be, the better.
WILL the practitioner speak DURING THE SACRED CEREMONY?
Your Sacred Ceremony Practitioner will greet and speak with you before the Ceremony begins. Once you are on the table, the Practitioner will press their hands into your back to check your level of comfort and make adjustments as needed. Once the Sacred Session has begun, the Practitioner will not speak with you or ask you any further questions.
CAN I TALK DURING MY SACRED CEREMONY?
There is no back-and-forth conversation or chit-chat during a Sacred Ceremony. You are responsible for yourself. If you need the headrest adjusted, say so. If you need to go to the bathroom, go to the bathroom. If something doesn't feel well, tell your Practitioner. If you need to adjust yourself slightly to be more comfortable, please adjust yourself. Aside from the aforementioned scenarios or an emergency, there is no talking during a Sacred Session.
what if i fall asleep during MY sacred ceremony?
It is okay if you fall asleep during the Sacred Ceremony. You will still derive all of the benefits from the work as it is for your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, cellular, and ancestral bodies, not your conscious mind.
I really want to experience/see/feel/heal something very specific during my ceremony. can you make sure it happens?
If you are looking for a specific experience, you may miss what is awaiting you. Trust that you will have the experience you are meant to have. Do not to force or try to experience something that you want to experience. Instead, allow yourself to let go of expectations in order to experience what you are meant to experience.
can i keep my CLOTHES/CONTACTS/jewelry on during the sacred ceremony?
Please remove all clothing, contacts, and jewelry before beginning your Sacred Ceremony.
what should i do after MY ceremony ends?
Do not shower until at least 3 hours after the Ceremony has ended as the oil used retains the resonance of the work. Plan a half-day or minimum of 3 hours of open-ended time after your Ceremony for integration. You may feel especially sensitive upon the completion of your Sacred Session and you are encouraged to listen to what your body needs and to give it what it wants (i.e. rest, water, food, time in nature, etc.).
